Das Buch beschreibt die Kämpfe im Baltikum sowie weitere Kriegserlebnisse von Otto Carius und beinhaltet auch ein Interview, welches Herr Carius zu Lebzeiten dem Verfasser des Buchs gab. Ergänzend zum Text des Buches sind neben den vielen Bildern von der Front und des privaten Umfelds auch etliche Skizzen, Urkunden, Zeugnisse, die Grabstätte u.v.m. abgebildet.
Das Buch ist in englischer Sprache geschrieben. Man kann es eigentlich als Bildband bezeichnen. Die Auflage - mit separater Original-Autogrammkarte - war limitiert auf nur 300 Stück!

In 2022, the recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves Otto Carius would have turned 100 years old. This magnificent volume was published to mark this anniversary.
The book describes the battles in the Baltic and other war experiences of Otto Carius and also includes an interview that Mr Carius gave to the author of the book during his lifetime. In addition to the text of the book, there are many pictures from the front and the private surroundings, as well as several sketches, documents, testimonies, the grave site and much more.
The book is written in English. It can actually be described as an illustrated book. The edition - with a separate original autograph card - was limited to just 300 copies!
